Tricone rock bit is mostly used in petroleum drilling and geological drilling. The tricone bit can impact, crush and shear the formation rock when rotating, so it can adapt to various soft, medium and hard formations.

Our tricone rock bit adopts high-strength and high toughness cemented carbide teeth, which improves the impact resistance of the teeth and reduces the tooth breakage rate. The inner hole of tricone bit is inlaid with wear-resistant alloy to improve the anti seizure ability of the bearing.

During drilling, the rock breaking conditions of rocks with different hardness are different, and the influence of WOB on them is also different. The drilling speed of tricone rock bit has certain change curve and limit speed with the increase of rotating speed. When drilling in clay rock, the penetration rate is proportional to the rotation speed; When drilling in solid and highly abrasive rocks, the penetration rate will be added slowly with the increase of rotational speed. Because the rock breaking time extends, the limit rotational speed is smaller than other types of rocks. When the rotational speed exceeds the limit rotational speed, the penetration rate will be reduced.
